Aleksi Nortyl – born in 1972, studied modern literature, philosophy and political science. Learns Slavic languages, writes poetry and fiction, and studies street theater. Spent ten years in Central Asia and Ukraine, working in the fields of linguistics, culture and economy. Upon return to France, he participated in international technical assistance projects and taught literature at a college. In 2014, he started making literary translations from Ukrainian (a play for the youths), and then collaborated with Julia Nosar on translations of theater works by Oleksandr Irvanets and Pavlo Arie, as well as collections of contemporary Ukrainian poetry. Now works in the digital sphere.
