Elli Salo

Elli Salo is a Finnish playwright, dramaturg, and translator. She graduated with a Master of Arts from The Theatre Academy’s Department of Dramaturgy at Uniarts Helsinki, as well as a Master of Arts at Helsinki University, majoring in Slavic literature. Salo’s plays and audioworks have been translated into multiple languages and they have received awards both in Finland and abroad. Currently, she is teaching dramaturgy and creative writing at The Theatre Academy of Uniarts in Helsinki. Salo is also one of the founding members of the wilderness theatre group named Operation Paulaharju, which creates performances in Lapland’s national parks.
