José Estévez López

José Estévez López, a writer, born in 1954, lives in Lugo (Galicia, Spain). After receiving a law degree, he used to work as a lawyer and held various positions in state institutions.

He published over a dozen poetry collections and several prose works in Galician and Castilian languages.

Since his student years (in the historical 70s), Jose Esteves has taken an active social position in Galicia's life. This is also reflected in his creative ideas. He organizes literary events and coordinates publications and collective collections, such as the book in memory of Manuel María, published by the Council of the Province of Lugo, in the year of the celebration of the Day of Galician Literature, which was dedicated to him, as well as the poetry collections "Artistic Paths".

He has also coordinated international projects, such as poetry anthologies, together with six participating countries, including Ukraine (this is a bilingual poetry publication Galicia – Ukraine: Harmony of Hearts).
