Yulia Nechai

Yulia Nechai is a director and theatre teacher. She was the owner of the White Suitcase Theatre Studio in Chernihiv, which operated for 10 years before being destroyed by the shock wave of a bomb dropped by a Russian Federation aircraft during the offensive on Chernihiv in March 2022. Over the years, the studio staged hundreds of plays, conducted thousands of theatre trainings and master classes, and carried out extensive educational and artistic work with children and young people. It also implemented dozens of social projects and public initiatives, receiving numerous certificates, diplomas, and awards from various competitions and professional development programs. In 2019, Yulia was a finalist in the All-Ukrainian program by the British Council in Ukraine and received a Presidential Scholarship as an artist in the field of theatre arts.
