Yury Vіetkin

I, Yury Vіetkin, was born on April 12, 1967, in Chernihiv, Ukraine.

Professional soldier. Major. Practical psychologist. I participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation from 2015 to 2016 as part of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. During the full-scale aggression from 2022 to 2024, I served in the 1st Separate Tank Brigade in Siversk. On March 5, 2022, while performing a combat mission to defend the city of Chernihiv, I was wounded as a result of enemy shelling and had my lower limb amputated.

Blogger. Screenwriter. Playwright. Writer. In 2024, my autobiographical novel "Time Che" was published, dedicated to the events of February-March 2022. Participant in the Veterans' Theater 2024 project. Three plays I wrote, "Hospital Rhapsody," "Phantom," and "Explosion," were presented at the First Plays Reading Festival at the Kyiv Theater of Playwrights. One of the founders of the Chernihiv Veterans Theater "Sercevir," in which veteran actors perform.
