Ghost Land

Three stories from the Ukrainian-Russian war, taking place in different parts of the country. Ukraine, ruined by Russians, emerges as a land where the lines between reality and the afterlife, between physicality and symbolism, between life and death are blurred.
In the first story, a Ukrainian soldier tries to cope with post-traumatic stress disorder and finally determine whether he is alive or dead. The second novella tells of a visit by occupying-looting forces to a rural family—a simple robbery ultimately turns into a reckoning for committed crimes. The third story begins in a torture basement in a Russian-occupied city. A bloody interrogation plunges us into a labyrinth of grim literary surrealism and concludes in the near future, after Ukraine's victory.
