The play consists of short episodes from the author’s life during the war, each titled with a specific emotion, such as "love," "panic," "disillusionment," and so on. These episodes are interspersed with excerpts from the heroine’s correspondence with Ukrainian and Russian friends.
The play is divided into two parts: "War" and "Evacuation." The first part was written in Kherson during the occupation, and the second abroad, after the author was forced to leave the country.
