On October 8-9th, 2022, the premiere of the play Cette foutue triste vérité by Ukrainian playwright Olha Annenko was hosted in the Theater Jean Richard of the city of Niort (France).

The drama written in 2020 was shortlisted by the International Batumi Monodrama Festival (Georgia). That year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the reading of the play was presented as a video version under the title Luka (director: Gabriel Goshadze, actor - Giviko Baratashvili).

In 2021, together with other plays by Olha Annenko, the play was published in her collection Persha.

Cette foutue triste vérité is the confession of a single father, George, who is drowning in lies. Recollecting his complicated life story, he concludes that he is standing on the threshold of his own Apocalypse, but he does not have a clue how to prevent it. George hopes that while retelling the story, he will be able to find a way out of a problem and put an end to illusions in his daughter's life.

In 2022, the premiere of the play was planned in Kyiv, but the war hindered production in Ukraine. Therefore, a decision was made to stage the play in the French theatre for the French audience.
